Ingredients

  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 cup mushrooms (sliced)
  • 1 large carrot (sliced diagonally)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp sesame oil (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bring a pot of water to a boil and blanch the broccoli for 1-2 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil or butter in a large pan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
  3. Add sliced carrots and cook for about two minutes until slightly softened.
  4. Stir in the mushrooms and cook for an additional three minutes.
  5. Add blanched broccoli, soy sauce, salt, and black pepper. Optionally add sesame oil. Stir-fry for 1-2 minutes to mix well.
  6. Transfer to a serving dish immediately. Garnish with sesame seeds or fresh herbs.
